Can AVI files play on PowerDVD?

Guides: for you to play back your AVI files
1. Drag & drop the AVI file you want to play directly onto the CyberLink PowerDVD user interface.
2. click on the user interface, select "Open movie file on hard disk drive" and then browse to the folder that contains your AVI files.
Click OK to begin playback.
3. Right click on the AVI file wants to play and select "Open With". Select PowerDVD from the available list of programs.
Adding AVI files to PowerDVD playlist
1. Click on the bottom to select "Open media files" option, then choose the AVI video you want to play and add it to your PowerDVD's playlist.
2. On the left, click "File Types", you can see all kinds of video formats PowerDVD 9 supports.

Note: If you insert a data CD while CyberLink PowerDVD is in disc mode (the first option under the Select source button menu), CyberLink PowerDVD will play back all of the media files on your disc.HD media player
